Alpha Maps

Alpha Maps allow you to apply alpha channel textures to screens. The alpha channel cuts away sections of the screen. This can be useful when building abstract geometry into your scene.

Add an Alpha Map #

Alpha Maps can be configured in the Scene Config workspace. In the Alpha Maps tab select the mesh you wish to apply the alpha map to by clicking the thumbnail or press assign.

Upload an Alpha Map #

Once the upload modal opens either select an existing alpha map or upload your own. Black areas in your image will mask your screen.

Removing an Alpha Map #

To remove an alpha map you've already set click the thumbnail or press assign. In the Mesh Alpha Map modal select "No Asset" in the top right hand corner.
